Hi everyone, what Tamiyaspray paint could I use for the Red body color and the yellow wing and stripes on the #6 Dodge Daytona? I'm using the ACE decals for this project. Thanks in advance for any help.
Jim

I used TS-8 for the red for the main body. for the rear wing and stripe area I used Testors yellow and orange and test mixed these until I got as close as could with reference photos. The wing and rear stripe were airbrushed. Flat black for the roof.

spotter, that #6 Daytona is far and away the best example I've seen of that car since I watched the real one win at Darlington in Sept. '70! I thought when I saw it that it was hands down the best Daytona build I've ever seen, then I clicked ahead on your Flickr and came to the Nichels #99 and was equally blown away! Those are two absolute works of art.
Thanks for sharing them with us.

John

That is the best-looking first issue MPC Daytona I've ever seen! Congratulations!
