I'll be making a few other parts soon as well. Next up will be a seat with the bolster on the right side. _________________ "Dude, it's not Camelot... it's only a model." "Details man, I need details!!" |

Anyone else have any issues | Sorry to hear about that. I had one that was a little misshapen around the c pillar area, but nothing that bad. Did you try contacting them by e-mail? _________________ "Dude, it's not Camelot... it's only a model." "Details man, I need details!!" |

I reached out to them and they sent me two new bodies. It took some time to get them. |

Salvino's posted that many of the Donnie Allison Olds kits were shipped with the new truck trailing arms rear suspension. The ones I bought had the old leafs. Any one out there lucky enough to get the truck rears??
Side note the Monte Carlo's are done waiting chrome to return. |

The way I read it was the truck arms were included....on the instruction sheet, and they accidentally left the leaf springs off...of the instruction sheet. They posted a corrected instruction page on their fb site.

You are correct....It's a mix up of instructions not parts!!! Wish it'd been the other way.....Not sure why these guys are dragging their feet....I bough ONE Donnie Olds......and will not buy more until they fix all the issues. Loosing sales to all the modelers I know..... |

I'm not thrilled with some of the comments from them when questioned on it. A little too much of the " start your own model company" attitude rather than making it right.
30 bucks plus for a kit, they need to fix it. |

I thought they took so much flak on the Olds that the Monte Carlo would be much better. Going to take some work to get rid of the toy like feel of it. I'm voting with my wallet. Ordering a couple of Revell and AMT products.

I will do the same. If the Salvino's was as good as just the Revell street Monte I'd buy a case....if it misses the mark....ONE kit and that's a gift to them. |

If I have to hunt a cheap 20 year old Amt kit off ebay to have the correct front and rear suspension, then add in 30 dollars for the Salvino kit, it's cheaper to just get the Amt kit and a Revell Wheels of Fire Monte Carlo and do a body swap, granted the Revell needs a lot of elbow grease to sand the body smooth.
I still think somewhere over the rainbow they know they are coming with a Mopar kit so why change anything now.
I fully appreciate the investment they have made. I fully appreciate the subjects they are trying to bring out. I fully appreciate that they may have saved the Revell/Monogram pre-2003 Nascar tools from the scrapper by gaining rights to them. No complaints on the technical execution of the kits they have done. I would like to see a little more willingness to listen to us builders with an attitude of making the product as best as it possibly can be and not dismissing us with the attitude of we should start our own company if we find issues with their kit.

I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. It's good to see a new player in the game, even if there were a few start up glitches. _________________ Dennis

I agree, we need to support them. I know they are working to get things corrected so I am buying any kit they put out. _________________ "I wasn't trying to wreck him, I just wanted to rattle his cage." |

That's where I'm at. I don't expect perfection in any kit offering. However I do expect the kit producer to be totally honest about errors and/or omissions. I'll continue to support Salvinos simply because they are offering some long desired kits in plastic. Warts and all, I'll enjoy the kits. _________________ life is hard, it's harder when you're stupid. John Wayne |

They are NOT free, actually more expensive than many other kits in the same scale that are more accurately done. I have bought one and will buy more, eventually, but would be buying them now if they were more accurate. Not bashing, there is much I like about the kit, but at that price point, there is no excuse for some of the shortcomings.
