condolences Mike. Hard to loose a pet after so many years.

I had lunch with my son last week and he was taking his cat to a cardiologist for an eval, sweet kitty is 18 years old. My boy is gonna be really sad when she has to go.

I quit with pets years ago. Just gets too hard to lose them, got to where it was like losing a family member. Sad

Sorry for your family's loss of a good friend.
He's crossed over Rainbow Bridge as my Granddaughter would tell me.

I feel your pain brother, had to put down one of our horses last year, first time I ever saw the wife cry. Broke my heart. Sorry about your loss.

Rocket, my heart goes out to you and your family. It's not LIKE losing a family member, it IS losing a family member. I'm 62 years old and when I lost my mother in '88 and a brother a few years later, I don't remember shedding a tear and I loved them dearly but when I had to put down my little Miniature Dachshund /Chihuahua mix Tequila that I'd had for 18 years and 10 months, I cried like a 9 yr. old girl for 2 days every time somebody mentioned her.
The way we love animals is an all-in, unconditional love that never goes away, even after they have.

John

Condolences, it is hard to lose a good friend. I lost my beloved dog Jake over 3 years ago and still miss him. He went everywhere with me.

Agree. I have been there. It is definitely a different kind of loss.

Mike, sorry to hear about your loss. I don't know what I'll do when Foster leaves me but I know that it will happen some day. I've owned many dogs and it never gets easy.

Sorry for your loss mate, it's a terrible feeling.
We had to put down our border Collie pup 2 years ago, she got sick and the vet did have the ability to fix her with medication but due to not having enough money (they required an up front payment of 1000 dollars) we had to put her down, it would have to be one of the saddest moments of my life. I was devastated

Sorry for your loss, Mike.

It´s hard to lose a familymember and that´s what they really are.

We lost our little Chihuahualady four years ago. We think and talk about her almost every day, she´s still very present!
