I built this model completely from scratch,,,

I started by projecting a frame from an 8mm Star Wars reel onto a wall and then tracing the walker onto a sheet of paper... the scene was the walker with Luke hanging underneath in a full on broadside shot... I then measured every thing on the tracing and estimated the widths of the various sections and built the parts out of wood (legs) poster board and balsa and some various plastic pieces for the cannons on the "head"... it is approx. 20" tall and 21" long from the rear of the body to the tip of the gun that extends furthrst forward on the head.
