Contemplating a Charger 500 build wasn't there a modeling article written about the necessary modifications?

Pretty much everything in the Wingcar building seminar post that's a sticky in this section will apply, just use the MPC/AMT Charger 500 kit for the body instead of the Daytona. That's the best tutorial you'll find for that era of Dodge.

I agree with Tom, awesome tutorial by Wing Car. I can't wait to see your build of this car. I'll be following your build with much interest as your builds are always, accurate, well researched, well referenced, and you pay very close attention to the details.

Thanks for the suggestion Tom. Appreciate the comments Fireball. I have a few builds in progress already so the 500 build might be awhile.

Tom is correct. Use the MPC/AMT 500 kit. I've played around with this kit and it doesn't seem too difficult. I like using the AMT '68 Roadrunner or GTX kit for the chassis donor and just follow the wingcar building seminar. I use a Polar Light Talladega/Mercury for the roll cage. Also, a AMT '90s era nascar donor cage will be work as well. Just a few mods to make either of them fit. Piece of cake.

Looking forward to your build. Have the same car on my "to-do" list.

Bobby

Thanks Bobby. A few projects I'm working on at the moment before I can get into the 500.

AC Ace Bristol based on the AMT Cobra:

Kremer Porsche 935K based on the Testors kit:

I'd truly like to know what you did to the Testors 935 kit. I've got a stock one in the stash but the squared rear fenders really limit the options.

Dang those are some beautiful builds! Your scratch building and fabrication techniques are some of the best! Keep'em comin'!

Thanks Bobby.

Junkman, the box fenders are correct for the first Kremer 935. I'll start a new thread to show the work I have done so far.
