I saw this morning where Herschel McGriff raced in the K&N Pro West race at Tucson on Saturday. Herschel, at 90 YRS. old is the oldest person to ever start a Nascar race.

WOW !!! That's a big deal !!! Worth noting that Hershel ( there is no letter C in his first name ) lives just down the road a ways South of Tucson. His car was from the stable of Bill McAnally Racing, possibly as a deal / favor with the track. Hershel did not run the 2nd Twin 100 race later that evening. |

He finished last (winner is 17 yrs. old) but he DID play the National Anthem solo on his trombone during the pre-race. He said that was the only thing he was nervous about at all.
