I saw this morning where Herschel McGriff raced in the K&N Pro West race at Tucson on Saturday. Herschel, at 90 YRS. old is the oldest person to ever start a Nascar race.

WOW !!! Shocked That's a big deal !!! Worth noting that Hershel ( there is no letter C in his first name ) lives just down the road a ways South of Tucson. His car was from the stable of Bill McAnally Racing, possibly as a deal / favor with the track. Hershel did not run the 2nd Twin 100 race later that evening.

He finished last (winner is 17 yrs. old) but he DID play the National Anthem solo on his trombone during the pre-race. He said that was the only thing he was nervous about at all.
