Or an orange.
This is a redux of a model I did a few months ago. The first one
used stock exhaust manifolds mounted upsidedown. This one uses
more standard short homemade pipe headers.
The body is a Revell 40 Ford converted to look more like a 37 Ford.
Frame is from a AMT 1960 Ford and the engine is a
Cadillac V8 from an AMT 1949 Ford. Ron Coon & Mikes Decals rims
and tires.
Driver Eddie McDonald was from Georgia and was well known in the Southeast.
Ran Saturday nights a the Jacksonville speedway .Often ran the Permatex race
in Daytona....
Have one more model to finish and post before the forum is gone forever...

Your finishing strong my man! This one is a jewel. A nice closing statement to your great contributions and great historic builds. I'm sure we have all enjoyed them as much as I personally have. Thank You for your fine work and generous sharing. |

Beautiful work as always Hawk22. Please keep posting your beautiful Jacksonville Speedway models over on the short track forum or Model Car Magazine forum. Unlike this site, they aren't going away. _________________ "Many men fish all their lives without knowing it is not the fish they are after." Henry David Thoreau
