well, another one of the good guys is gone... first Glenn then Randy, only 2 of the original Eagles are still around. i had the pleasure of seeing them play 4 times since they re-formed in 1994 and it was always Timothy B. on bass and high vocals, never got to see Randy, even on the "History of" Tour which Bernie participated in.

I read that Randy didn't leave the Eagles on the best of terms. Squeezed out by Henley and Frey when he didn't like the musical direction the band was taking after Hotel California.
That and the back seat role they wanted to consign him to. Apparently they weren't happy that Take It To The Limit was such a concert favorite, creating a spotlight for the sort of music Randy wanted to play. |

I grew up in jr high, high school, and college listening to the Eagles. One of my all-time favorite bands. Still listen to their music just about every day. Dang, I suddenly really feel old! |
