Used PPP decals for first time. Beautifully done but the area between images left a visible sheen. Even with close trimming.. What have others done? Apply a clear coat to hide this? |

I suggest a clear over my or nay decals after applied. I use Future floor shine which is not made right now but there are other options. A clear spray can be used too. I like Tamiya when I do use it. Some type of clear over applied decals is need to protect them long term. (it helps the look too) |

One thing I've noticed now that all the blue-backed laser decal paper comes from China is that the heat from the fixing drum tends to turn the clear carrier slightly matte. I clear coat all my decals on the sheet after printing but I recommend clear coating the white underlays (if provided) after they're in place and dry prior to applying the color layers, then clearing over the color layers again. Otherwise they will sometimes look slightly silvered. |
