So my son was going to put the driveshaft in on the #9 Salvino’s Next Gen Camaro and it appears to be too short. Has any else noticed this? I don’t think he mounted any parts wrong but I could be mistaken. Any thoughts? |

I had that happen too. Turned out that the engine was too far forward. The engine went in easily and appeared to be in the correct position, turned out to be too far forward,
The instructions are very vague in some places! |

On Youtube there is a buid vid of that actual problem, i watch it just last month.
The builder talked of chopping and extending the d/s. |

Since it's in a tunnel when done.....I think it is as designed. |

You cannot see the end of the driveshaft on the engine side, so I attach it to the transmission in the rear and I don't worry about the other end since it's covered on both sides. |

My last couple of builds I've cut the driveshaft since I've been building cockpit first, tunnel doesn't let driveshaft clear. |

Yep, its too short, I cut it in half and just attach it to the transaxle side |

For me, I cut off the original front piece and replaced it with a longer piece of Evergreen rod. This will allow it to fit in the connecting points of the engine and transaxle. You won't see the side where it connects to the engine anyway. Actually you probably won't see it at all, but for some reason I must add it.
