My 2nd Salvinos kit. I liked this one better than the Cale Yarborough Monte Carlo. Did some massaging to the roof and the "small windows to try and reduce that slanted look. Also shortened the front end a little. Had to really mess with the dash area under the hood and the rollcage to get the body to sit down low on the chassis.
Also messed with some different camera angles and lighting as I've realized that poor pictures and lighting can really mess with the quality of the build when posting so I'm trying to do a little better in that area. I could nit pick this build to death as I always do my stuff when I'm done but I'll leave that for another time and build. Thanks for looking.

Beautiful build!
I love what you have done with the tires and wheels. They make the car look so lifelike.
I like you have been working on improving the photo set up. It makes a big difference.
Congrats! _________________ "When you arrive at a fork in the road, take it" - Yogi Berra |

That came out super nice! The Grand Am is my favorite car of this era. |

Excellent job. Interior looks nicely detailed. Tires and wheels are another plus for this build. |

The car model shown is actually correctly titled as a LeMans, and YES it is a beautiful build. The Pontiac Grand Am was quite similar at first glance; the big difference was a slightly different front grille, and only one large square headlight per side. The Grand Am was considered " Limited Production " by NASCAR and was therefore ineligible for Cup competition. It WAS - however, a popular Late Model Sportsman & Busch Grand National car. |

Thanks everyone. Wouldn't mind doing another Lemans kit and would definitely do the front end a bit different than I did on this one. I felt like those headlight inserts and bumper stick out too much on the side for my taste but once I noticed it, they were already in and I didn't really want to mess with it anymore.
Forgot to mention the mods to this car:
1)Alclad over the wheels (they came from another kit)
2)Aftermarket hood pin kit
3)Put screen mesh on the front grille, headlights, and lower openings
4)As far as the body goes, I shortened the front end up just a bit which required me to also shorten the hood. Had Front windshield fitting issues due to trying to get the body to sit low on the chassis. To remedy this, I sanded down the front edge of the dash (under the hood) to give clearance for the windshield.
5) Window net made from tape (thanks Clay Kemp)
6) Metal tubing for the exhaust
7) Also remade the right side of the dash. _________________
