I personally knew Derek, we went to NNL Philly a few times and hung out from time to time. He was a good egg and excellent model builder. His health wasn't the best, but, didn't expect it this soon. We use to text back and forth and bicker like brothers usually do. You will be missed my brother. Thoughts and prayers to his wife and daughter and family.

Derek helped me a lot with his knowledge, he was a great guy to deal with also here at the Forum. I bought him lots of my models.
