So I was wondering what would be different about these two Petty Chargers? I know the paint schemes are a little different. Would the ‘76 be a small block car vs a Hemi in the ‘73? Was thinking of picking one up soon and deciding which to get.
Thanks |

The 1976 Charger had a small - block 340, also 4 wheel disc brakes ( not sure the 1973 did ). The 1973 car had a fuel cap and lanyard, while the 1976 had the NASCAR mandated dry - break fueling system. Other possible differences inside the cockpit ( additional roll bars, stronger seat, 2 - way radio, ) might not be visible. |

Trivia -
Petty had discs on the 74 Charger and credited them to helping him be able to pit when he got that flat at the Daytona 500. He came off of 4 HOT.
The 73 had drums. He would not have been able to pit. |

The actual kits inside the box are the same except the decals. The Salvinos kit includes the 1972-1977 options for the Charger in the box |
