Seems as though with the Fiat/Chrysler & Petty licenses, a Petty Superbird would be a basic no-brainer. A Daytona would practically be a a license to print money.
Any thoughts on whether we'll see something along those lines in the future?
I'd be interested in everyone's thoughts. |

The 2020 Camaro is on the drawing/computer board. The pavement modified has been shown. They claim a NEXT GEN car too........who knows what else. |

I'd love to see the 71 Plymouths. I have the Decals for the Petty cars for then. |

They said on their public Saturday Morning podcast this morning, they are actively looking at doing a 60's car. But gave no indication on what. But with only GM & Chrysler as the only two manufacturers they have a licensing for. That limits it to the cars they produced in the 60's. They also said their will be another 73 Charger release, but didn't say what car. And they said they would be doing a 71 Charger at some point. But for now, the generic 71 Charger that Mike's Decals, Wes's Model car corner, & another outlet has, is how you get the 71 Charger. As for other future releases they have made public. We know the May kit is the AJ Foyt 1983 #14 Valvoline Chevy MCSS "Notchback". And they said this morning, that most likely they will issue another 81-85 Buick Regal before the end of the year. And they were also talking about getting some 90's kits out from the monogram molds they have. With what other Chrysler cars they are going to do. Who knows?? As for Ford, they do not have a contract with them or Toyota. But with the recent NASCAR deal. NASCAR is going to assist them in trying to get those deals done. But no guarantee that those deals do get done. I have no doubt a deal with Ford will get done. And who know about Toyota. Most of us know why Revell never got a Toyota deal done...
With that said, here are the contracts Salvino's has in place(that I remember). At least the ones they have publicly mentioned.
-General Motors(GM)(Chevy, Pontiac, Olds, Buick)
-Chrysler/Fiat
-NASCAR
-Hendrick Motorsports
-Junior Johnson estate
-Bobby Allison
-Ranier Racing
-AJ Foyt
-Blue Max Racing
-Richard Petty
Hope this helps some in figuring out a possible direction of Salvino's future releases. But we will never know until they announce it on their Saturday morning podcasts, FB page, or on their website....

No insider info here, but I figure since they've already done Baker cars a Baker K&K car wouldn't be a huge step. I expect the '71-'72 initial offering to be a Baker STP car, and maybe even a plain white '71 Dodge.
I agree, a Daytona and Superbird would be like printing money. Not much from the GM camp from the '60s unless they went back to the Pontiac era. I doubt a Lee Petty '59 Olds would sell enough to pay for its tooling since there's really only that version to build. |

Agreed about the winged MoPars, particularly since there are no proper NASCAR racing versions of the Daytona and Superbird bodies currently available in 1/25.
Since they appear to have deals with Petty, Allison, and Baker, there are a lot of interesting subjects that they could do with the new '71-'72 Charger. I wonder if Coke licensing constrains which Bobby Allison cars they could do?

I would love to see a Mercury too. Based on the licensing listed above, I would guess either a 1960s Petty Chrysler or possibly the ‘63 Junior Johnson mystery motor Impala? |

What I would most like to see is a 68 Mercury Cyclone with the tunnel port 427 FE. The car was very sucessful in 1968 and after the aero Spoiler II and Talladega's were banned, the 1969 version of the "W" nose Mercusry Cyclone was preferred through the end of 1971 at most tracks by the Ford guys.
We sort of already have a 69 Cyclone Spoiler II although it has some inaccuracies like the wheel wells are too big and the hood is all wrong compared to the actual car.
We've never had a kit of the 68 Mercury Cyclone and it won more races than most any car between the 68 and 71 seasons.
Some of the Mopars of the era, like someone mentioned the 65 Belvedere, saw limited use and because of NASCAR Hemi rules, were mostly insignificant cars. The 67 Plymputh was successful and as it happens was the first year one could actually purchase a Mopar hemi at the showroom. Revell makes a decent 66-67 although some effort is required to make a NASCAR racer from the kit.
As long as Salvino JR keeps the quality of the 71 and 73 Charger kits going, I am probably in for whatever they do before the 90's. No interest at all in the current or future NASCAR cars. The appeal just isn't there for me. |

I totally agree with Bill, 68 Cyclone would top the list
If one is allowed to dream: Charger 500
The ultimate: the big Fords, 63-64 without all the chrome trim and a real chassis _________________ "When you arrive at a fork in the road, take it" - Yogi Berra |

After reading some of the comments here, I would agree that a new Superbird, or a Dodge Daytona would be the next logical step. They already have the agreements with Petty, and Chrysler. How about a '71-72 Plymouth Satellite? That would be a nice addition to the Petty camp. If they can score an agreement with Ford, a W-Nose Mercury would also be nice since nobody has done one except for a resin conversion. I think all these would be good sellers.

Considering the price and scarcity of the Dodge Intrepids on ebay. I would think a John Andretti Cheerios Dodge would be a license to print money |

I wouldn't mind seeing a '90 Buick with new tooling for the nose. The old ones are ok but they do kinda look like a pig that got smacked with a shovel. |

I agree with the choice of the 1968 " W " Nose Mercury Cyclone, and also a really good RACE - Only Daytona and / or SuperBird. And - A DODGE Magnum !!! Please - Please - Please ...
Now, how about a REALLY Good 1975 Chevy Laguna S - 3 ??? One without that goofy extra front bumper " THINGIE ", and with a more accurate Opera Window insert. Of course most of the same body tooling could also be used for the 1974 Flat - Nose Laguna or Chevelle too. |

How about an 80’s Busch series car. Make the kits with interchangeable noses so that you can build all the different varieties |

Wonder if Salvinos has access to the Monogram ASA kits??? They, the Chevy, had a V-6 in it. |

The tooling for the ASA kits SHOULD have been in storage in ILL which is what Atlantis bought and then sold to Salvinos. The ASA tooling was never run in China....so we can hope it's around somewhere. |

I want to know what drag racing kits Atlantis got and what ones Revell kept because right now it looks like Atlantis got the kits from the 70's and earlier and Revell kept anything 80 and above but no one will say anything. |

Both Ace and Powerslide have already planned/released some sheets with this body style as options. I have to believe with the Salvinos/Petty relationship, this is almost a sure thing. |
