MPC body on the unforgettable PL chassis
I really like the 429 engine but the chassis does not care for it.
Eventually we all found a way to cooperate
PPP wheels and tires
Impeccable as always Powerslide decals
My own mix of Vallejo reds, brush painted
Future clear, brush painted
Tamiya smoke + flat clear on bumpers to make them look race weathered
Thank you for watching

Pierre, you've done it again. Mirror smooth finish, super clean build, and a front end that looks like it came off the real car and was miniaturized to fit. Also, that is the best color match I have ever seen for this car. The beauty of mixing your own colors.

Wow! Amazing job!

I'd love to hear more about your brush painting method, because the paint finish looks great. Brush painting would solve a lot of my painting issues when the weather is bad as I have to do my spray painting outside.

Mark, if you are interested in brush painting, please share your experiments and results on the "Brush painters society" sticky. A few of us are getting into this and sharing helps us all to improve.
regards,
Pierre

Excellent build. I built Benny Parsons' car using the same method: MPC body PL chassis. The 429 is a very tight fit.

A real beauty sir. I need to improve my underwood detailing for sure. Would you mind sharing how you did the shock absorbers and the rad hoses?
thanks

Thank you Pierre. Regarding the shocks, I used the kit parts for the shock body and made the shaft and upper mount from bent wire. Here is a quick example:

I used this for the radiator hose:
