Tamiya Fluoresent yellow for Polycarbonate seemed to work OK, JWTBM decals from Mikes, standard monogram / revell 2000 Monte Carlo kit

While I was never a fan of that paint job, you did a fine job recreating it!! Well done.

GREAT JOB on this build !!!!!

notworthy

That had to take some time to get the wild paint scheme down..!

I liked this car, as it was such a different paint scheme for Dale to drive.

Didn't Dale "pioneer" special one-off paint schemes for the Winston Open(?) prior to the World (Coke) 600?

Hideous!....the 1:1, not the model, its very cool, well done.
I always thought it looked like one of those paintings that the artist stood back and threw paint at the canvas. Maybe thats what he does, I had never heard of the guy prior to that car, nor frankly, since then. Laughing

Peter Max was a hippie artist from the sixties so i imagine he was hopped up on something to design this..

And he must have given some "stuff" to childress and the goodwrench folks to permit it....

Very nice. Have always thought that scheme really added to Dale Sr's mystique... the courage to say 'WTHeck'. Man was really layered with personality.

This was the beginning of "The Color of Money' era. Dale was making money with all kinds of diecast , memorabilia etc. Nice model. I have 1/64th diecast of it.
