Dug this one out of my stash to finish. Inly had a few parts to add upon pulling it out of the box. Started with the Moebius Joe Weatherly Pontiac kit.. Painted Testors Classic White with Duplicolor Autumn Maple interior, Powerslide decals. Made headlight covers. Mostly out of box except headlight covers, fuel filler neck and overflow below the trunk lid. Had tobwait a few days for it to stop snowing to be able tobget pictures outside. Hope I was able to capture the look accurately.

Super looking Pontiac! Interesting story on how David got the ride in the car and went out and won the 600. |

Awesome build, JJ. It looks great.
I remember my hero, Fireball Roberts being a couple laps down in 2nd at the end and Pearson staying out with a blown RR tire to get the win.
Pearson's 1st NASCAR win.........
Dad took me to that race. _________________ Hondo |

Beautifully done! I particularly like the fuel filler and overflow detail, but so clean throughout. _________________ Bill Jobson is my real name. |

Wow! Nicely done. Very clean work and a little extra detail to boot.

WOW!!
VERY NICELY DONE!!!
Was not following NASCAR until the issue of Stock Car Racing magazine that carried the coverage of the 1968 Indy 500.
This means I get "educated" by all the builds mostly from this site.... _________________ Ed. K

That year Pontiac was a beauty, as is your model. Good to see a roll cage that fits well.
Always admired the look of this #3 and that greyhound on the front fender. |
