Just got a kit from ebay and decals from Mikes, the Minilites are on the way from ebay and the tires and roll cage are coming from SMH. Wish the post office would get their butts in gear...

Anyway, a few questions about the AAR Cuda-

1. Can the stock kit hood work for a TA build? I know that a resin hood and spoiler are available, but the kit parts seem to be accurate.

2. What color would work best? I have a can of Navy Blue (Blue Angel) from Tamiya and it looks like it’s close... it it dark enough?

3. Would the stock 340 engine be appropriate? Minus the 6 pack obviously.

Thought i had more to ask, but I can’t remember anything else for now.

Here is the photo file for my build, should be of some assistance. I built this before the Revell AAR Cuda kit was available. If you have questions on anything I did just ask.

That will be a great resource to my build. And questions... oh, there will be questions. 😉

First one- what blue to use? Tamiya preferably.

I choose to build the light blue car as opposed to the dark blue almost purple car so not really sure. Maybe TS53? If you are going the airbrush route you could mix a custom color.

I did both an early season and late season version of this car in 1/43. I used TS-15 for the lighter color and TS-55 for the darker one. I used Tamiya gray primer for both, but if I did it over again I would use the Tamiya white for the early season lighter shade.
