Finished this little S-10 recently. This is the older issue Monogram 1/25 kit, with Rally wheels from an AMT kit of some sort and tires from the AMT Sonoma pickup. Fun little kit.

Man, the s-10 has come a long way to the Colorado of today. I had a 1988 s-10 blazer with a 4.3 liter v-6. That thing could scoot for sure. I remember most of the paint just peeled off so I got a free paint job from chevrolet and 6 months later traded it for a 1995 blazer that was really not a great vehichle at all.

Thanks all!

MarkJ - I have a 2004 Colorado. Sometimes, I wish I had an S-10! Especially with the 4.3 My Dad had one - he sold it with around 250k miles on it. The guy that bought it kept it running for years.

I've got a 2001 S-10 4.3 I bought new. It has only 68,000 on the clock. I had a Line-X bedliner put in it a week after I bought it and the thing is still perfect. It needs brakes, and has a code set for an evap cannister but the thing starts/runs/drives perfectly. I just use it sparingly for hauling stuff or if one of my kids needs it for some reason. I may keep that thing forever.

Yes, my s-10 blazer was a lot more fun to drive then the blazer that took its place. I eventually got a 2002 trailblazer with the straight six. Now that was a great vehicle too. I eventualy got hit from behind by a girl texting on her phone which totalled it. I was lucky to have escaped that without a serious injury. Was sad to see that vehicle go.
