I know that the postal service is up to their ears in problems right now, but...

If i paid for Priority shipping through a seller and the package took 2 weeks to get here, can i do something about it? Seems a waste of money to pay for expedited service when it’s gonna take waaaaay longer. I have several projects that are on hold because parts n things are hung up with the post office.

Hell, i have a new Keurig from Bed Bath and Beyond that has been sitting in Las Vegas for 2 weeks. It’s getting a nice Vegas vacation, maybe it’s winning at the casinos and can’t stand to leave.

I think the seller/shipper can do something?

But if the seller printed a shipping label and did not take it to the PO or have it picked up that might be a problem also.?

The horror stories I've read on the Internet always seem to end with nothing accomplished dealing with the USPS. Either they can't get in touch with anyone and even if they do the problem just fades away.

I contacted a couple of online model outfits earlier this year letting them know the priority mail packages they sent didn't arrive in the few days it was supposed to. Nothing came of that either. Thought they should know the customer being charged top dollar wasn't getting what they paid for and some people (me included) might take their business elsewhere unless they change shippers.

SOP USPS today......small package, USPS Priority 250 miles....ELEVEN DAYS.....nothing you can do.
EDIT: Seems I lied!! just went to Post Office and even though tracking say it was sent to my local PO it 'didn't make the truck'.....may take 2 more days to get on the truck......sorry...take my money for Priority and take 12-14 days to move a small box 250 miles....NO excuse...

We had issues with both Fed-ex and UPS getting shipments to the wrong addresses so it’s not just the USPS.

Golf is a great way to send a message. Consider wrapping a note around a ball and knock it onto the back porch of USPS Postmaster General Louis DeJoy.

One of his two family estates backs onto Greensboro, NC, Country Club.

Do be gentle. Since his appointment to the job in June, 2020, he's reportedly disappointed his boss with his running of the service.

I’m not a good golfer by any stretch, so i may take out a few windows while trying to make it to the back porch.

The USPS, while considerably overloaded right now, is still completely screwed up. I have a package coming to me in NY from Tennessee. It left TN two weeks ago....went to NJ, sat there a bit, then went to Jacksonville FLORIDA and is now back in TN. No idea why it made that huge trip. I've contacted the seller and they are going to get it back to me if it is a returned shipment. I think the post office damaged the label at this point and is returning it. I had a nother package go from PA to Kentucky then back to NY. SMH

'COVID' will be the excuse for ANY issue for the next 5 years.
We went down the hole in May and it was a OLD problem then. USPS has TONS of problems that make their service so poor. Management heavy, a form of tenure that encourages 'I don't care' attitude. As a retired analyst I've done a 'due diligence' report for myself so I can speak the truth and not just out of anger. USPS has major issues that will get worse if nothing is done and in the end it will collapse under it's own weight.

And in the May tread I said USPS would be central to a mail in ballot controversy in NOV, it is, I say now it will come to a head in the next 4 years......it will fail or have a major overhaul.

They have had 9 months or so to try and figure something out instead of imploding.

Part of my issue with USPS is if you can not provide the service advertised do NOT take peoples money saying can can but know you can not. USPS needed to say 'we can not deliver Priority mail in the 3 days as offered....but you can use Parcel'. That's what we had to do at the bank. If our computer systems were not available to commercial customers at 05:00 we had to PAY them for the time we were down. USPS should not be exempt from the business code.

Now a weird but good story.......
I ordered a DVD my wife wanted 12/31 at 15:00. The DVD, sent media mail, was delivered to my PO today and if they were open that is overnight!!!!!! WHY??? Media mail is the slow of the slow.......my Priority 10 oz computer part package from Chicago is now on it's 11th day of travel?!?!?! NO consistency.

Use USPS parcel and save a few bucks.

UPS and FedEx prices are double and even more for shipping the same item!

Took a box to the post office at 12:30 pm Saturday. (Utica, a suburb North of Detroit)

It arrived in New Berlin, WI at 1 pm on Monday.

So they are capable of doing their job. Guess there's still hope.

I'm still waiting for my package sent from PA that ended up in Guam. Last I saw it was in Honolulu. Been over 2 weeks waiting for it.

I've had a bunch of stuff arrive here in Canadia via USPS with little problems or delays.

When I have seen delays, it's due to information or speling errurs.

And seeing the shocking level of basic spelling and grammatical errors just browsing the intrynett, can anyone be surprised that shipping delays occur?

Don't know. From Big Donkey Resin who I have done business with before but don't remember the method he sends things.

Good news is supposedly it has made it to my local post office so maybe I'll get it soon.

In the past few months all of my USPS deliveries have been on time or arrived early!

My '73 Chargers from Salvino's only had to come up the coast from California to Richmond, BC to Vancouver Island.
it took a six week journey east to NY/New Jersey to London England to Gibraltar.
Chris sent me 2 replacements that got here in a week,, 2 days after the replacement showed up, the others did.
