finished up tonight.
Revellogram kit, Tamiya semi gloss black over flat black, chassis is AS-20 Insignia White. kit is pretty much stock, added a bit to the window net, removed the net molded into the body and replaced it with clear plastic (as the real Daytona car had), added some strip to the rocker area (since the real car didn't have any jack point cut outs), and used a Brandon Miller splitter and a piece of strip to make the valence/air dam kick out; the actual ride height is box stock. Also filled in the rear bumper area with strip and made a superspeedway “box” from strip. MPR decals with a few Powerslide ones thrown in.
see my WiP in the Fab Shop area for notes during the build, i figured some details out and found more pics a little too late, that i wish i woulda known when i started decaling.
comments are appreciated and expected as always, and thanks for looking. _________________ ON DECK/IN THE WORKS: too many started to list...

Excellent build as always. I have one of these kits and dont know what to do with it. I was thinking about trying to make it into a mustang but that might be a bridge too far. |
