New to the forum and my first love is modeling military jets. Here's an F-15, F-16, Mig-29 and an Su-27 I just finished. Still trying to test this posting pics thing.

VERY nice panel work. When I lived in Colorado Springs I was kind of surrounded by military bases and saw a lot of jets up close. Very authentic looking. Can't wait to see if you do a stock car. _________________ "Dude, it's not Camelot... it's only a model." "Details man, I need details!!" |

Thanks. I have a Holly Farms Cale Yarborough Salvinos kit that's next up so any tips on that would be great. |

Those are some fine looking aircraft! I really like the detail and painting, they look very realistic.
I started as a small kid building aircraft, way back then they were all odd scales. Every time we moved they'd all get ruined by the movers. When cars came along in the late 1950's I started on them and never went back to planes.
I have always wanted to build an F-117. I credit that plane with getting us a rapid end to the first Gulf war, Desert Storm. I have seen them at Nellis AFB when participating in Green Flag, along with F-111's, F-15's and F-16's. Always interesting. I remember an Air Force major maintenance officer came over to us while we were looking at the F-117 and commenting on how dirty and cruddy it looked. I guess she liked shiny and clean planes. I told her that I figured the F-117 helped get Desert Storm over with and get me back home, so it looked fantastic to me |
