Alright colour match experts...While I am patiently waiting for the new ACE/Cherry Run #2 stacy/stacy pak regal etc sheet I wanted to get a chassis and body ready to go. I am thinking TS-15 may be a good choice,but...I really struggle on blues. Suggestions? Tamiya preferred. |

Tamiya Pure Blue is probably the closest hobby paint match to Wrangler/Stacy Blue I've found. It's one of the new colors, TS-93.

I have some TS-93 in my arsenal. Now I am back to my original dilemma. I may do a chassis up in both, worst case I have Wrangler chassis built. |

So here is the follow up post. I prepped a beautiful yellow Monogram chassis with a Tamiya grey primer, laid down a couple pretty good looking coats of TS-93....It is a perfect match to the powerslide #3 Wrangler sheet, but... I think it is too bright for the Stacy car.
Is it possible that the later Wrangler blue is a brighter blue than the early #2/3 cars? Or is it a “petty blue” thing where the photo’s from the original era “show” a different colour.
I am going to shoot a couple coats of Pure Blue over some black primer tomorrow and see how that looks. Did I mention I struggle with blue.. |

I used Model Master 2940 - Racing Blue on my build for what it is worth.
