KS: Some dreams come true and some are shattered. Tonight, one dream will come true and 8 others will be shattered. Hello again, everyone, I'm Ken Squier alongside Darrell Waltrip and welcome to Richmond, Virginia for the 2020 Fantasy Cup Series season finale; the Snickers 300. Darrell, we've been on asphalt, dirt, and even turned right a few times. What does it mean to endure all of that and come out on top?

DW: It means that all the hardships, the bad days, the challenges, and every drop of self doubt didn't drag you down. When you hoist that trophy at the end of the season, you know that you and your team earned every carat of gold on that cup.

KS: And in 300 laps, we will know who has the grit. With that, we go trackside for the opening ceremony.

"Ladies and gentlemen, please rise and remove your hats for the playing of our national anthem."

"And now, race fans, please welcome our grand marshal, 3-time Richmond winner in the NASCAR Cup Series and Virginia native, Denny Hamlin!

DH: Drivers, start your engines!

Green Flag

DW: Boogity boogity boogity! Let's go racin' for a championship!

KS: And the pole sitter Jimm Jackson with a good start. He'll power past the number 2 Ford of Cisco Rosander. Jackson with the inside line as they roll through turns 1 and 2. And the points leader and recipient of the 5 points for the best looking car begins planning his game. He started from the 7th position and has his work cut out for him in this event.

DW: And that 74 Buick's gonna sail outta turn 4 to lead lap 1.

Lap 45

KS: What a remarkable battle we have brewing here. Keith Wallace and Katie Rosander who started in 7th and 9th respectively. They've just made Jeremy Rosander the meat in a Ford sandwich. 3-wide scuffle for the 6th!

DW: Those 2 are runnin' like they've got a 10ft. pole between'em.

Lap 98

KS: Crash in turn 3! Bobby Dravin collecting Cisco Rosander. Those 2 cars leaving their mark on the SAFER barrier. It appears Dravin had a right rear tire let loose and Rosander with nowhere to go just destroying what was left of the fender of the Stanley Tools Pontiac.

DW: I see both of those guys movin', Ken. Thank goodness. That was a hard lick.

Lap 129

DW: Ken, I think 'ol Spud's regrettin' only getting 2 tires during that caution.

KS: Lee Loggins was the only one too. He's led the race since but Keith Wallace has closed a 6 car length lead in just 5 laps. He moves to the outside to take the lead out of turn 2. And Katie Rosander has the 3rd place car of Jimm Jackson in her sights.

Lap 170

KS: Katie Rosander gets the nose of that F-150 under the Buick of Jackson.

DW: And ol' Razorback's gonna latch on and give her a little push past the 74 car.

Lap 235

KS: And we've got a slow car on the back stretch. It's the 11 of Hick Strutlin. The caution is out as he limps the Skoal Bandit Dodge around; left rear tire flapping around the rim.

Lap 291

KS: For the lead! Katie Rosander pitches her Ford to the inside of Keith Wallace. Wallace drifting high to stay off of her fender. She'll come out of turn 4 and to the line with 8 to go!

White Flag

DW: Katie's got one more lap to hold off that 23 machine!

KS: And Wallace is going to use that apron. Can't make it stick in turns 1 and 2. He's gonna lose a little bit of real estate down the back straightaway. Katie Rosander, fighting her way from the back of the field, is gonna sail that Ford F-150 through turns 3 and 4. And with a hand out the window, she comes to the stripe to win the Snickers 300! And Keith Wallace brings it home in 2nd but he will win the 2020 Fantasy Cup Series championship!

DW: Ken, that was a heck of a charge! From the outhouse to the penthouse. Congrats to Katie Rosander and to the new champ Keith Wallace!

KS: And with that, we look at the full field rundown.

1. 2k - Katie Rosander
2. 23 - Keith Wallace
3. 46 - JR Sealey
4. 74 - Jimm Jackson
5. 95 - Lee Loggins
6. 1 - Jeremy Rosander
7. 11 - Hick Strutlin (-5)
8. 25 - Bobby Dravin (Out)
9. 2 - Cisco Rosander (Out)

KS: And now for the final standings for the 2020 season.

KS: And with that, we conclude another exciting season of Fantasy Cup Series racing. For Darrell Waltrip, I'm Ken Squier. Thank you for joining us and we hope to see you again in 2021!
