I see a number of you commented on my squirrel issue with my car. My day got worse. Later that evening I fell down my basement steps. Compound fracture of the ankle and damn near bled out. Broke 4 bones. Tore open a small artery and ripped my achilles tendon. Two days in the hospital and came home with a "cage" on my foot and leg to stabilize the bones. More surgery first week of May.

Man, I feel your pain. Hope you start to recover quickly. I've sent an all points advisory for the dogs in your area to start the squirrel hunt immediately!

Here I am 2 months after my fall. I've had two surgeries and more doctors visits than I care to remember. I am just now able to put any weight on my leg and it is just a slight amount of weight. I have a plate and screws holding my fibula together as it heals. It appears it will be at least another month before I can hopefully get rid of my walker. My advice is do not break your ankle and lower leg. My world is being able to one legged hop from the couch to the bathroom and back to bed. It appears the summer of 2020 is a total loss, between the virus and my injury. My wife tells me I'm lucky I didn't break my neck. I hate it when she is right.

Good to hear from you Dennis and that you are on the mend. It takes awhile for sure.

As for being able to make it from the couch to the bathroom, that is a good thing. It is when you can't make it from the couch to the bathroom that is really a buzzkill Smile

Keep getting better Smile
