My best buddy lives in So Cal and says everything that is not making or selling food, meds or fuel is closed. So I'd think plastic 'toy' manufacturing would be....but I am 3000 miles away.......

I don't recall seeing pics of the Darrell Waltrip Budweiser Flat Nose Monte Carlo or the Joe Ruttman / Levi Garrett flat nose ??? I have only seen pics of the DW Pepsi Flat Nose from Nashville in 1983.

I just got an email from Tamiya USA, they are completely shut down, The email says that any business that requires employees to be physically at a workplace, must shut down.

Exceptions are defense contractors, grocery stores, pharmacies and so on.

Nice to see another model from them and it should be a popular release.

But wishin' and a'hopin' these Salvinos fellas find their way back to 1968 and do the first-edition Torino. It would fill a . . . . . h-u-u-u-uge . . . . . gap. So many good cars to make decals for.

Yes it would. Also the 68/69 Mercury Cyclone. Not the 69 Cyclone Spoiler ll. I would also like to see a 71/72 Plymouth.

I sent Jim Rogers an email and asked him about how this is affecting production. Hopefully he replies here in a few days, i will post here what he has to say. Also asked him about progress on the Charger.

We’ll see.

I haven`t talked to him since before Christmas. I`m looking forward to that Charger also. I also would like to see the 78 Chevy Malibu and 78 Pontiac LeMans. But want a 68/69 Mercury Cyclone the most. That would be a fantastic seller.

Okay, then. Well, apologies for hijacking the thread.

In case you missed the news earlier in this thread:

It’s not that anyone “missed the news”... please refer back to what Davevan posted about businesses (and assumedly manufacturing) in California.

I got my Montes in on Saturday. The kit will build a Flat Nose Monte or it will build a Notchback Monte Carlo SS. Has decals for Bobby Allison`s Buick and a separate sheet for the front fenders for the Monte Carlo. The sheet has several Chevy Power decals. Kit does have some flash but for me that's ok. A little bit of work will need to be completed to the front fenders to attach the flat nose to the body. I like it. Thanks to Salvinos.

It has nice engraving and it will need to be painted. Painting should be easy. Paint a silver color and then black wash it. It would not be very hard to cut the grill out and replace it with screen wire.

Or foil it then black wash it.

I got mine in the mail today, I started sticking parts together as soon as I finished eating. Looks very good, even better than the photos. Fit is decent too, the character line on the bumper doesn't line up perfectly with the forward part of the fender but nothing some putty and sanding won't fix. It actually blends with the taper of the nose better than the original Monogram kit part in my opinion.
