So my OTHER favorite modeling subject is WW1 aircraft. Back in a drizzly November when I was around 12, being in with flu, I gave my brother three dollars and asked him to go to the local Hobby shop (we had two within walking distance!) and pick up some kind of WW! aircraft model. I ahd always admired these planes but now wanted to try one. With the three dollars, he purchased three 1/48 Aurora kits - one being a Nieuport 11 - and that was the first I built. So, decades later, I wanted to revisit that subject, so I chose the same aircraft - but this time an Eduard kit, which is way more accurate and detailed. I have yet to add rigging and some other fine details, but I like it so far.

NICE! I always wanted to build one. Someone said the Nieuports were
easiest to rig of all biplanes, show results when you are done please. Most excellent job so far!---John

This was a mix of various Tamiya acrylics. Do't remember exactly right now! The clear-doped-linen color of those aircraft varied by manufacture. I will be doing a couple of other planes that will be lighter in color. The toughest thing about WW1 is the lack of original color photography.
