I reckoned this was the best spot to put this, mods feel free to move it.

THESE will be ready VERY soon! New grilles for the 1967 Plymouth.

GTX version...

Belvedere...

THIS mess, is something I've been bugged about by more than one person. I should have most of it done later tonight. Plans for three grille styles, two rear bumpers, 1971 and '72.

I'd be up for the Belvedere grille. How about something with the taillights for this car?

Just dug that piece out. I'm seeing a necessity for change here too. Most obviously the trunk panel but, those lights look too short as compared to the 1:1. Flickr is down right now or I'd add the pics.

So if everything I'm seeing, and everything I'm reading is right, the 1966 and '67 Plymouths were the same car, just different front end metal and grille? (At least as far as Petty's cars)

Progress! Sort of...

My hood is wrong. I took the scallop creases all the way to the rear edge of the hood (Which I think looks better) when they're supposed to disappear into the hood right around the cowl grille. Easy fix. I'll do a little more shaping on the underside as well.

The rear bumpers have their fillers. I need to clean the edges of the filler plates on the '71 and add the rivet detail and bumper bolts. I'll likely mold the splash panels directly to the bumpers. Most bumpers were color keyed to the body and masking this part is brain dead easy.

Ironically, I can find no evidence of rivets on the Petty cars.
Finally, there will be two front bumpers, and FIVE possible grille configurations which will cover all styles used.
On the bottom is the "Petty" style. Add a longer piece of mesh for the wider grille cover. In the middle is the original kit grille, retreated as an insert for easier detailing. On top is grille style 3. Cover the middle with mesh, or cover the entire thing, either way you'll have a see through grille! I'll make some headlight caps and add the bumper bolts and these are almost ready to go.

As for the 1967 tail panel... I'm on it.

Let's discuss Revell's 1967 G-T-X!!

The rear panel fit on this thing is a horror! I don't get how they sell any except to die hards, and now I get why it was so cheap on feebay. I don't remember the original issue being this fussy. I mean I know I'm going to fix it anyway because it's one I'm itching to build but, this is ridiculous.

How does everybody feel about a replacement deck lid along with the retooled bumper and lights?

Turns out Richard, and most teams were running the Satellite version, so that's why the rear looked so odd to me. The rear face of the deck lid is no issue, nor are the lights but, I don't know how folks feel about cutting out the deck vs. filling a small gap.

Let me know fellas.

This is very interesting to me! I love '60's and '70's Mopar cars.

Most pieces are almost ready. I am currently suffering from "The brown touch".

Quickee update, I'm back on these for a day. Trying to work out bumper shields right now.

I'm working on a new Satellite tail piece for the '67 and the bumper shields for the '71 and '72 while waiting for a little putty to dry on the 500.

I'm waiting on a couple things to arrive before jumping back to the Chevies.

A little more "light" work. Smile

These are nothing more than resin copies of the original light blanks from the MPC kit. I'll mount them on angled tubing and remove the kit lights. I'll leave a track around where the headlights are to support the grille.

The 60's stuff or the '70's? Smile The 66/67 parts are still being worked on. I should have the 71/72 parts on ebay after this weekend.
