Paints were Tamiya TS-36 and Testor's Star Spangled Blue lacquer. Decals were two sets of Slixx and they were a nightmare due to age and brittleness, even with decal bonder coating.

Hey Steve,

If you have any other Slixx sheets upcoming, just a tip. Get the water as hot as you can stand it. I have found with Slixx decals, the hotter the better. Use needle nose pliers or tweezers to dip the decals if needed. I also found a couple drops of dish soap helps too. The couple years and about 15-20 builds with slixx sheets i have done have had zero issues with cracking or breaking. Well done on that one! Was never a huge Gordon fan myself but he always had the best paint jobs..lol

Thanks for the tips!

I do use very hot water for my decals. But these florescent decals from Slixx don't do well at all under any circumstances. With other Slixx decals I've done alright, but these...yikes.
