reserving this spot... gonna be a mega-detailed build (at least as far as i have done in the past) with fittings courtesy of RBMotion, stuff from Brandon Miller's Shapeways page, Detail Master lines, seat from Salvino's, switches, and whatever else i can throw in there.
gonna post numerous pics and explanations of what i used as i go, prolly gonna be a lot... the radiator, rear end and truck arms are up first. _________________ ON DECK/IN THE WORKS: too many started to list...

Oil tank fitting by Rbmotion
Fuel line fitting by Rbmotion, fuel pump (which i suspect should be a fuel filter, but Brandon doesn’t make one in 1/24) from Brandon Miller’s Shapeways store, with Rbmotion fittings, also a spot for the fuel line thru the trunk.

Front end with functional springs from Brandon Miller’s Shapeways page. Too bad these get compressed and glued into place, unlike the rear ones i will show y’all later on.

3D printed (i think, not 100% sure) seat from JR Salvinos, decals from Powerslide. These seats are pretty cool... I didn’t do any detailing to it, just painted it and slapped a few TV decals on.

May be idle on this post for a little bit. About to start on fabricating shocks out of Rbmotion rod ends and 3 different sizes of aluminum tube.
May slip a little rear suspension work in though. And maybe partially completed engine pics. _________________ ON DECK/IN THE WORKS: too many started to list...

Shocks were easier than i expected, turns out that one of those hobby miter saws cuts aluminum tube pretty easily and somewhat cleanly. Thankfully i have some small files to clean them up. Got one sized, cut, and some parts in paint.
Rear suspension, featuring functional springs from Brandon Miller’s Shapeways store.
And the water pump/belts & pulleys along with the oil pump and lines installed.

Got my first front shock all done. 3 different sizes of aluminum tube, Tamiya gold on the top of the shock body, Tamiya bare metal silver on the main shock body, and left the shock tube natural metal. Rbmotion rod ends and a bolt head, Powerslide decal.

Drivers side shock in place, messed up the other side by making the tube a hair too long... broke the rod end for the base, and i have more on order, so a delay will be had. Also need the rod ends to do the rear shocks. Will be working on the dash while i wait... uugh. TINY dash switches. _________________ ON DECK/IN THE WORKS: too many started to list...

Thanks John, i appreciate all the kind and positive comments that folks are leaving on here. A Clay Kemp build i followed on Twitter inspired me. Not that i will ever do something to his standards, but i can try and get a little close... _________________ ON DECK/IN THE WORKS: too many started to list...

Not a lot of work being done lately, still working on the rear shocks and the dash. The dash is 99.9% done, just waiting for a pack of toggle switches from Belgium (one left... i dropped & lost more than i used) to finish the dash, the steering wheel is finished.
Got the air cleaner done... Tamiya semi-gloss black paint, Powerslide carbon fiber decals and a “detail nut” from Rbmotion.

Well alllllriiiiiight... got the dash done today. All decals are from Powerslide, used actual 3M electrical tape for the center steer marker, random wire for the ignition boxes and radio wire, and the toggle switches are from Top Studio.
They come in a pack of 20 along with a nut for each... needed 10... managed to drop 11 of them so i ended up ordering another pack from the ebay seller in Belgium that I originally got them from... for one stinking switch... arrived today and glued the last one in place. You really need to have good eyes and an even better steady hand to work with these. They are about 2.5 mm long.

Rear shocks... so i figured out how to mount these to the existing shock mounts. I cut the kit shocks down to the fattest, top piece (wish i woulda taken more pics... sigh) and sanded them down, girth wise, so the fat end of the shock i built would slide over it. See pic...
I am leaving the shock tube loose, unglued, so it can allow the rear suspension and springs to travel... we’ll see how that part works out. All other builds i did with these functional rear springs, i eliminated the rear shocks.
Ps. Don’t zoom in too close on the pics, i did a terrible job of filing the cut areas of the fatter part of the shock... _________________ ON DECK/IN THE WORKS: too many started to list...
