|
|
Went to Hobby Lobby today to get some Tamiya tape, have been getting it there with my 40% off coupon, but now they have a different tape in there hobby section it has no manufacture name on it only on the back tab it says
Hobby Lobby .
S0 my question is, has anyone tried this tape and if so is it as good as the Tamiya tape.
Thanks for any input

don't know about the new hobby lobby stuff...
but...
i started using the yellow Frog Painters tape...
as far as i can tell...it's the same stuff as Tamiya...
you can cut it down and it still makes sharp clean lines with no bleed.
plus...for 8 bucks you get a 60 yard roll.

Ive been using this delicate Frog tape for some years now, and I can say without doubt, its not even as close to being as good as Tamiya tape is, now with that said, its good tape, and I use it as secondary masking after I used Tamiya for my main mask line.
Ive found in my testing this does not seal as good as Tamiya does, but of course, your experience may vary. |
