Great job on this build.
Seeing this model brings back fond memory. I knew the gentleman that owned and ran Antique Toys and Trains which is the sponsor on the deck lid. He called me about 8 pm on a Friday nite, all excited. The model order had just arrived . Told him I would see him the next morning. Got there about 9 am and to my surprise there sat a painted and fully assembled model. He told me that to get the paint on the body dry enough to put the decals on, he had run his wife hair dryer over the body for about 6 hours! Had stayed up all nite to get model complete!

Very nice build!!! Kit decals???

I too had been to AT&T Co. in Ashville a number of times. Seem to recall he ran Blue Ridge decals and kinda suddenly closed shop and moved north and married the 'Decal Lady' who was also making decals at the time.

Dave, Reynolds did do Blue Ridge Decal. He did move north and married a lady that had a hobby shop. When that did not work out, he moved back to Asheville and unfortunately took his own life

Hi Dave,

Ya - model made with Monogram kit decals, but in bad shape,
because partial decals were cracked and crumbled ... i ve paint with red color on side bottom between the door numbers and rear fenders with shaky hands

Dont tell the other guys please
