On the over head shot of the 22 car I did not realize there was such a difference in body shape from one side to another from the doors back

That picture has the diorama look to it except for the people peering over the rail.

Great shots Dave. Really like the int. shots of the '71 Merc. Isn't that the car that was in the Weatherly Museum for many years?

I actually got to tour Penske earlier this year. On the backside of the huts in the middle down on the far end is where they build the wood bros cars. There is also a warehouse connected to the shop where there are older cars stored. There are actual Indy cars just sitting on pallet racks feet in the air. Was really cool to see.

Thanks for sharing the pictures Dave. I always find it striking at how clean and tidy these shops are.

Maybe a Late Model or K&N Series type package? It look's like our Slim-Jim's All Pro cars would look after the hard part of hanging the body was done:) Don't see any rivets or Cleco's though except on the skirt.

I think it’s the car they use to setup the optical scanner. I think that’s what I was told.

The K & N West Series still uses the Fusion body.

That's what I was thinking. When I got the "friends and family" tour a few years ago they showed us the room with the high-res optical scanners but we weren't allowed inside it. That's basically the calibrator I think.

It also could be the car they practice pit stops in. I know it was electric.
