Here is the logo. I am not sure what it was for, I think something to do with drinking alcohol among a group of the drivers? Not sure.

Sorry, I have no idea. This picture was from the #26 Curtis Turner 63 Ford. As far as I know, no model decal makers have made this logo either.

Apparently there is a whiskey called Old Crow and this logo is related to that.

If I'm not mistaken, Old Crow is the liquor used in drinking flaming shots is it not? You know... Fireballs?

Don't forget Fireball got his nickname from being a baseball pitcher.

I know it's not much help in 1:43, but this logo should be part of the comprehensive sheet in 1:25 for Fireball's 1963-64 Galaxies that will coming soon as I can get my mind back in the artwork business and/or I suddenly figure out a way to add about six more hours to the day. (I hand-draw the lettering and then do Illustrator work from scans of the drawings. It takes a lot of time, but it makes all the difference.)

Again, I know it's not much help in 1:43, but I did want to reassure everyone that the promised Fireball artwork is in process, and will be worth the wait.

I just saw this. I'm a Kentucky boy so bourbon is a favorite topic of mine. Old Crow was a cheap bourbon made by Jim Beam Distillery. Their ad's used various images of crows from the typical "bird" to the more stylized crow with a top hat and a monicle. It was not a great sipping bourbon (a little harsh) but it could get the job done if the need was there.

It would make sense that may have been some type of contingency deal if you carried the pic. I was reading about their advertising history and in 1955 Old Crow took out an ad in "College English", the journal of the National assn. of Teachers of English offering $250 for every literary reference to their product.
Given that, it's not much of a stretch to think they would grab an opportunity if they saw it.

Patrick, those look REALLY good ! I'm particularly impressed with how realistic you got the wheels and tires to look. Very nice work.
