I built this "W: nose Mercury which raced in the 1971 season. Used Tamiya gold and bright red, Pledge floor coated before decaling. Decals were Powerslide and were absolutely super to work with and look great. The body was the excellent resin body done by Terry Barton, on a Polar Lights chassis.

As a Mopar man, this was one of my most favorite schemes on the w nose Merc. Model looks fantastic.

I don't think the W nose bodies are still available. No idea, really. I bought the ones I have over 10 years ago.
Mike's Decals lists a "W" nose Mercury. I have not seen one in person but the pictures look good. As far as I know it is the only option out there today. |

Looks great. I have 2 of Terrys bodies waiting on me to get them built. Terry said the W nose mold is done he got all he could get from it, it was a great cast he did. _________________ Roanoke, VA. |
