wouldn't the 383 and 440 share the same intake manifold? I'm not sure.
A 383 was a B engine a 449 was an RB. 440 had a taller deck height. The intake would be wider.

The real car was 1970 Cadillac code 95. Cinnamon firemist poly. It was a metallic color. Best you can hope is to get close to the sheet color.

I make spatter paint by painting the whole thing grey. Then I mist black and white over that from about 2 foot away. All this is done with rattle cans.

I backdated a Bandit Resins 74 to a 73. I reshaped the bottom of the trunk lid and qtr extensions. Also reshaped the qtrs where the bumper meets them. I made a new rear bumper for it.

Keep in mind the Salvinos kits only go back to 74 bodies. 73 cars were waaay different in back. The qtr extensions trunk lid and rear bumper were all completely different from the 74 up cars.

Now that’s something I’ve never seen before. The watts link is in frt of the rear pumpkin. Never seen one that wasnt in back of the pumpkin before. Probably on account of the quick change rear.

Hmmm... Looks like the front end could use a bit of a section under the headlights and above the grille, and the peaks of the fenders need to be curved downward a little rather than run straight out. ...

Like Dave said cars that Bobby built were short a cars with frt steer. Unlike the usual long arm rear steer chassis most were using.

The best way to make a 73 Chevelle is to put the amt 73 bumper and header panel on a MPC 73 Laguna. The body shape is light years better than the AMT body. A Slantnose Laguna body can also be used but ...

I managed to jamb an AMT TBird chassis under the SMH Montegoish body. Wasn’t easy. If you have a Bandit Resins body a TBird chassis stretched fits beautiful.
